As part of our Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy, we actively encourage our employees to make a positive contribution within their local communities, and to come together to organise and take part in a variety of CSR initiatives.
As part of our CSR Policy each of our offices actively seeks to:
- Employ local people and utilise local suppliers and subcontractors
- Support local training and employment initiatives
- Become involved with local businesses and professional forums
- Support local schools, charities and events
- Provide support to clients in respect of their own CSR initiatives
Examples of how we get involved
As part of the Prohelp initiative, Arcus participate in Pro Bono Week with Business in the Community. This initiative involves a series of events held around the country that provide workshops and professional advice to support local community projects.

Arcus is involved with the ‘Action on Homelessness Programme’, which aims to break the vicious cycle of ‘no job, no home’, through helping homeless people find employment and achieve independent living.

Arcus raised over £4,000 for their corporate charity Shelter, by successfully completing the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge. The 25 mile event commenced at the Pen-y-Ghent Café in Horton in Ribblesdale, when our team of 12 pioneers set off to climb Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

At Arcus we also support our clients own CSR initiatives such as Trafford Housing Trust’s ‘Unsung Heroes Awards’. This is an annual event that pays tribute to various community members who consistently go that extra mile when it comes to making neighbourhoods a better place to live.
