An introduction —
Clive joined the business in 1986 as a graduate from Liverpool Polytechnic. Following a brief spell away from the practice to continue his work as a private practitioner, he returned as an Associate Partner in 1994 and was promoted to become the youngest ever Partner in 1996.

Following the restructuring to Limited Liability Partnership status in 2002, Clive became Managing Partner and has since played a significant role in driving forward the growth of the business.

As Managing Partner, Clive has overall responsibility for the operational delivery of services to clients in all sectors, but has a particular emphasis in delivering services to housing clients as Head of Housing for the practice.

Clive’s experience in housing has helped Arcus to continue to secure work with many local authorities and registered social landlords completing group repair, facelift schemes and large scale stock transfers since the mid 1990’s.

Clive also has a particular interest in Health and Safety, being a member of both the Association of Project Safety and Royal Society for Public Health. Clive is also a qualified Principal Designer.

But it’s not all hard work. Clive is, as many know, a devoted Derby County fan, making a four hour round trip to see their home games. He also enjoys spending time with his young family.

What are you most proud of?
My kids, they do things every day that make me proud.

What is your favourite food?
Most fish or shell fish, particularly when eaten as I sit beside the ‘Med’.

What is your least favourite drink?
Petrol – drank it once not recommended!!

What was your favourite cartoon as a child?
Scooby Doo. I still enjoy watching it with my meddling kids!!

What was your first pet and what was its name?
Technically, I suppose my mum’s corgi called Sparky. We had a mutual dislike of each other.

My own personal first pet was a rabbit called ‘Suzy’. She went missing one night, Sparky seemed to be grinning when I cried!!

Are you related to or connected to anyone famous?
I have the same name as Peter Sellers, he too was a goon!!

Which has been your happiest moment in life?
I’d like to say Derby winning the Playoff Final at Wembley but the wife would kill me!! So, jointly my wedding day and the birth of my two children.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
At a very young age a vicar. I thought you only had to work on a Sunday!!

Do you have any strange ‘quirks’?
I can whistle and hum at the same time!!??

Give one interesting fact about you.
I’m a twin. And no, he looks nothing like me.
